It was a great turnout at our Ryde Thursday 6 a side league last night as 15 out of the 16 teams were in attendance for match day 6. Going Toulouse were away but will be returning next week.
After taking over top spot last week with a win over Scouting Geeza's backed it up with another impressive victory against Sat Fesh FC. A 10-4 win see's them stay top on goal difference. Scouting For Goals aren't going away though as they bounced back in spectacular style defeating Goldies 7-0, another couple of goals and they would of gone top. Kyle Follows banged a hat-trick as third place East Ryde Massive won 7-3 against Butlins Bandits to stay just a point behind the leaders. In their final match Salt & Pepe signed off with a 3-1 win over Roverners. Pepe are taking a break from the league for a while but we very much hope to see them back soon. We have a new team coming in next week.
There was a fantastic match at the top of Div 1 as Chamakh fought off a strong Class On Ash side to win 5-4. Chamakh captain Adam Jupe netting twice along with Josh Wotherspoon, Alex South and Rueben Alexander. In response James Gallop 2, Steve Thorpe and Troy Portsmouth scored for Ash. The win keeps Chamakh 3 points clear of Ryde Rovers who picked up a point match win with Going Toulouse away. Second Half FC are up to third as they beat Getting On A Bit 6-2. Second Half FC goals from Randle 2, Phillipson 2, Keen and South. Vectis Rovers moved out of the bottom two with a 6-3 victory against Cool Runnings. Goalscorers spread throughout the team with Pearce 2, Scott-Jackson, Joliffe, Utteridge and Thompson hitting the target while Dan Robjant 2 and John Robjant scored for Cool Runnings.
