We wrapped up another good season of 6 a side in Sandown last night with JJ FC seeing off the title challenge from Six Offenders to secure back to back league wins. Six Offenders pushed all the way and were never behind in the race for the trophy but the final game was just a step too far and JJ's ran our comfortable 7 - 1 winners to finish 2 points ahead and secure a 2nd title in as many seasons. Will they make it 3 in a row ? There is a rumour that another former league winning team might be looking to rejoin the league so that could spice it up a bit but we will see, either way the new campaign looks to be an exciting one with one new side already confirmed and any other teams looking to get involved need to move quickly to secure a place, we do have an option to expand if we can register enough teams in time. As it's a new season, we have extended the £5 sign up offer for this week so its the perfect time to get your side together and jump in for some quality Monday night action at Sandown Bay Academy.
Wet Dogs had a good season to finish 3rd with 13 points, rounding off the season with a good 9 - 4 win over Eye of The Tiger and Retro's also finished on a high getting past Vectis Rovers 7 - 3 thanks in part to a hattrick from Harvey Knight.
Thank you to all our teams, especially the captains for an excellent season and for managing your teams pretty well. Also a big shout to our officials at Sandown, Jukesy, Andy and Chris for doing a great job each week.
See you all next week for the new season.
