Sandown Monday 6 a side news | WEEK 14

In an action-packed final week of the Sandown Monday 6-a-side Football League, teams across Division 1 and Division 2 battled it out one last time, cementing their standings and wrapping up an exceptional season.

In Division 1, Thunder FC shut out Westys Wanderers in a decisive 3-0 victory. Meanwhile, Nitty Committee and Whitecliff Wallies offered the spectators a goal fest, with Nitty Committee emerging triumphant in a 9-3 encounter. The most dramatic game of the night was between Simply Sixtoes and FC Seeds, where FC Seeds edged out their rivals with a narrow 6-4 triumph.

The standout performer in Division 1 was Callum Chambers from FC Seeds, who netted a total of three goals, earning the title of top scorer. However, one of the most impressive individuals throughout the entire season has undoubtedly been Ben Cutts from Whitecliff Wallies. Notwithstanding his team's defeat this week, Cutts' consistent performance earned him the title of most valuable player of the week.

In Division 2, The Bees Knees were stung by Sat Fesh FC, who claimed a resounding 11-2 victory.

The overall champions, after a grueling 14-week season, were Team Whitecliff Wallies and Sat Fesh FC for Division 1 and Division 2 respectively. Whitecliff Wallies finished with an impressive 24 points and 12 wins while Sat Fesh FC clinched the Division 2 title with 9 points and 4 wins.

As we bid farewell to this season, the teams will undoubtedly begin preparations for the next. The bar has been set high, and we eagerly anticipate what the next season of the Sandown Monday 6-a-side Football League has in store for us.
