In a spectacular display of skill and prowess, the Sandown Monday 6 a side Football league returned from the Christmas break and entered its fifth week of the season. The teams from Premier League and Division 1 showcased their competitive spirit, delivering riveting matches despite the chilly conditions.
In the Premier League, Sat Fesh FC secured a hard-fought victory over No More Cap FC with an electrifying scoreline of 8-6. On the same night, The Bees Knees triumphed over Unreal Madrid II in a close match, ending with an 8-5 score.
In Division 1, the stakes were just as high. The match between Epsteins Islanders and Eye Of The Tiger was a thrilling spectacle, with Eye Of The Tiger emerging victorious with a 5-3 win. Pukki Blinders also claimed a decisive victory over Khedira Pin Drop II, scoring 8 goals to their opponent's 3. Simply Sixtoes and Westys Wanderers ended their thrilling face-off in a 3-3 draw.
The standout player of Division 1 was Rick Murthwaite from Eye Of The Tiger. With an outstanding total of 3 goals, he was not only the top scorer for his division but also was declared the most valued player of the week, a testament to his exceptional skill and contribution to his team's success.
