New Salisbury Monday 6 a side season kicks off!

In the world of local football, the Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football league kicked off its new season yesterday with an array of thrilling matches. The season is shaping up to be one of the most challenging yet, with top players exhibiting highly competitive performances in both Division 1 and Division 2.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, '2 Girls 1 Klopp' showed an impressive start to the season with a dominating 6-2 victory over 'The Goofy Slugs'. The team's star striker, Alex Simpson, emerged as the top scorer in the division, netting an impressive brace. In other matches, 'SCS All Stars' outplayed a depleted 'Backyard UTD' with a 6-3 victory while 'Lavvy 6s' surpassed 'Elite FC' with a scoreline of 5-1.

DIVISION TWO

Similarly, Division 2 saw its fair share of action. 'Winless FC' triumphed over '50 Shades O Shea' with a excellent 6-3 win, courtesy of their top-performing player, George Beckwith, who scored a hat-trick for his team. Meanwhile, 'Lads And Dads' pulled off a narrow 3-2 victory against 'Dad Bods', adding to the excitement of the opening week.

Highlighting individual brilliance, Jake Budgell of 'Lavvy 6s' was declared the most valued player of the week. Budgell put in an exceptional performance, showcasing his skills and contributing significantly to his team's success.

Week 1 of the season has certainly set the bar high and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming matches. We are thrilled to see the teams back in action and we are sure to witness some more intense matches and outstanding performances in the weeks to come.
