We returned to Monday night action in Salisbury last night after a Bank Holiday enforced two week break and all our
teams were delighted to get their boots back on and resume our season of 6 a
side with week 5 of the campaign. All our teams were ready to go and there
were some great matches, all overseen by Geoff and his team of refs. Here's a
quick look back at what took place at Skyliner last night.
Weeno Wanderers dropped their 1st point of the season having been held to a 1 - 1 draw by Pique Blinders. It was a fiery game that saw one player receive a red card for violent conduct. The player is now banned for 2 games and has a £20 fine to pay. Just a reminder that we don't allow overly aggressive or violent play in our leagues and these things will be stamped out quickly. Elsewhere there were good wins for Hotspire FC who beat Six Offenders 5 - 1 and Gazz FC who were too strong for Salisbury Snipers, winning 8 - 2 to join the leaders on 9 points. Romanian Boys also picked up 2 points following their 8 - 1 win against Bendtner Over to go 3rd with Gangsters Allardyce's 3 - 1 win over Barely Athletic taking them to 4th. NHS Heros remain rooted to the bottom still searching for their 1st points after their 10 - 3 defeat to Crystal Phallus.
Thank you to everyone for being there this week, it's great to be back and there is just one more Bank Holiday to negotiate in a few weeks time so the season can really kick on again. Well done to all our winning teams and bi thanks to Geoff and the refs for another great night in Salisbury.
Interested in joining this league ? We are looking to expand into a new division on 19th June and we have space to take a couple more new teams so now is the time to get in touch and secure your place in the league.
