Salisbury 6 A Side Underway

We kicked off our 1st ever season of 6 a side in Salisbury last night and what a brilliant night of games we had. 10 brand new teams all finding their way and gelling together, one side Salisbury Snipers were made up of players that had registered as individuals so had never even met before last night so especially well done to them.

It was a 1st night for our officials Geoff, Tony and Chester too and all 3 did an excellent job.

These match reports will come out weekly and will just give an overview of events from the weeks games, often highlighting special performances so always keep an eye out to see if your name is featured.

The first round of games this season matched up two strong looking sides in Six Offenders and Romanian Boys. This was a really competitive game with Six Offenders coming back from being 2 - 0 down to secure the points very late on in the game. 3 - 2 the final score with the captains of both teams getting a coupe of goals. Vas Burloiu had the honour of scoring the 1st goal of the season while Callum Roberts bagged a couple for his team to give them the win.

Weeno Wanderers look another good side and they started brightly with a 7 - 1 win over Barely Athletic. Alex Wilkins and Jacob Tench both scoring twice to put their side 3rd after week one. Gangsters Allardyce had 4 goals from George Greasley to thank for their 12 - 3 win over Salisbury Snipers who's 3 goals included the goal of the night from Donahue. Hotspire FC and Pique Blinders went toe to toe in an absolute classic game that was end to end right from the start. Hotspire edged it 5 - 4 at the final whistle with Russ Gray on target twice for his team. The final game of the night saw a strong performance from Bendtner Over who racked up the goals against NHS Heros. Jacob Nicholson put away the 1st Hat-trick at Salisbury to form the backbone of his teams impressive 13 - 3 win. A couple of penalties, nicely slotted away by Charlotte Eastman and William Horn gave the medics something to smile about but Bentner go top after an excellent 1st week of matches.

Thank you so much to all the players, their captains and of course our officials for a amazing opening night, we are so happy to have a league underway in Salisbury and can't wait to see how it develops over the coming months.
