Salisbury Monday 6 a side end of season!

In an enthralling conclusion to the Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football League, a series of tightly contested matches lit up the night, marking the end of the season. After seven gruelling weeks, the teams in Division 1 left their mark on the pitch, showcasing the best of their skills and team coordination.

DIVISION ONE

The night saw a flurry of matches, with nail-biting finishes and commendable performances from various players. Backyard UTD and Elite FC clashed, with the game ending in a  0 - 0 draw. Defence was the theme of the game as neither team could break through the opposing team's sturdy backline, was it going to be enough for Backyard to seal the title? Over to Goofy Slugs!

The Goofy Slugs and SCS All Stars engaged in an epic battle that created a spectacle for us all as goals were traded between the teams throughout the match in total contrast to the Elite vs Backward game. In an edge-of-the-seat finish, SCS All Stars came out victorious with a 5 -4 triumph over The Goofy Slugs to end Slugs title hopes and to leapfrog them into second.

Winless FC faced 2 Girls 1 Klopp in a game that witnessed a goal fest. 2 Girls 1 Klopp showcased their supremacy, netting the ball 6 times, while Winless FC managed to score a single goal, making the final score 6-1.

The coveted title for Division 1 was clinched by Backyard UTD, finishing the season with 12 points and 5 wins. They showcased a consistent performance throughout, and their triumph was a testament to their hard work and well-coordinated team play. Backyard UTD's victory is well-deserved, marking the perfect end to a highly competitive season of the Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football League.
