It was the opening week of the Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football League was an enthralling affair, with standout performances across both divisions that set an exciting tone for the season ahead.
Division 1
SCS All Stars narrowly defeated 2 Girls 1 Klopp with a final score of 3-2. However, the night belonged to Lavvy 6s, who proved their dominance by thrashing Elite FC 6-1. Leading the charge was none other than Jack Vincent, who found the back of the net four times to secure his position as the week's top scorer in Division 1. Vincent's stellar performance also earned him the coveted title of the Most Valued Player of the week.
Division 2
The Goofy Slugs asserted their dominance with a 7-3 victory over Dad Bods, thanks in large part to Kai Mcconville's spectacular four-goal haul. 50 Shades O Shea also had a strong start, dispatching Rock FC with a solid 5-1 win. However, the tightest game in this division saw Big Mac Tacklers edge out Lads And Dads with a narrow 1-0 victory.
The season's kickoff week has laid the groundwork for an exciting season ahead. Both divisions have showcased impressive talent and commitment, setting the stage for a thrilling contest.
