The 8th week of the Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football League saw some high-octane matchups in Division 1 last night, with teams showcasing some standout performances and unexpected upsets.
Backyard UTD emerged victorious against Brazilliant with a score of 4-2 in a highly competitive match. The game demonstrated the strength and resilience of both teams, but Backyard UTD eventually took the upper hand.
However, the most notable game of the night was Beme Vets versus Dad Bods, where Beme Vets demonstrated their dominance with an overwhelming 14-1 victory. The match was a one-sided affair with Beme Vets' Jesse Walters stealing the show with three goals, making him the top scorer in Division 1 this week.
Another impressive performance was seen in Lavvy 6s clash against Winless FC. Lavvy 6s steamrolled their opponents with a whopping 13-0 score, showing their prowess and making a strong statement in the league.
The Goofy Slugs edged past Petra FC with a narrow 1-0 victory. The star player of the week, Kai Mcconville from The Goofy Slugs, played a pivotal role in their win and was adjudged the most valued player of the week.
In the final game of the night, SCS All Stars triumphed over Pique Blinders with a convincing scoreline of 5-1.
