Entertaining Action For Week 3 of Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side

Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The third week of the Shrewsbury Monday Football League culminated with some thrilling action, dramatic goals, and standout performances. The league, comprising of two divisions, Premier League and Division 1, witnessed intense matches as teams battled for supremacy.

In the Premier League division, FC BACK OF THE NETO triumphed over Barely Athletic with a scoreline of 4-1. The commanding performance was led by Ali, who netted an impressive hat-trick alongside a goal from Harry. Barely, missing a couple of key players, battled hard as always with Nathan on the score sheet but the champions quality shone through as they secured a comfortable victory. .

Meanwhile, in Division 1, there was no shortage of action and goals. Passion FC saw a tough defeat, losing 0-3 against Grand Theft Porto. In a strongly contested game, Porto struck at the right times to secure the win with goals from Kieran and a double from Gaz. "The Passionfruits" will no doubt regroup as their run of impressive performances came to a halt this week.

The real highlight of the night, however, was the game between Halfway Wanderers and SVR. SVR delivered an absolute masterclass, routing Halfway Wanderers with a whopping 10-0 victory. Jack, from SVR, took the spotlight in this division as the top scorer of the evening, netting an astounding total of 4 goals. The impressive Eddie also grabbed himself a hatrick in a man of the match display. Halfway struggled to cope with the movement of SVR throughout and will want to go back to being much tougher to beat in the coming weeks after a drop-off in recent performances.

In the evening's friendlies, Tony's Tigers put on a fantastic display of attacking prowess defeating Shrewbacca 3-0 despite an excellent performance from Don "The Don" in goal for Shrewbacce. WBS and SVR also played a closely-fought match with WBS edging the game 1-0 through a well taken goal from Tom

As we look forward to the next week of the Shrewsbury Monday Football League, teams are sure to be strategizing on how to counter the quality shown by the week's top performers. The season is heating up with 3 teams tied for points at the top of the Premier division and 4 teams within 1 point in division 1. We look forward with anticipation for the weeks ahead.

We currently have space in both divisions. We have a great mixture of abilities within our leagues and are looking for new teams to come and join the action. Want to register your interest? Click here to visit our web page or contact us @shropshire6asidefootball.
