Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

Week 8 of the Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side football league yielded exciting results as teams across the Premier League and Division 1 divisions squared off on the pitch.

In the Premier League, FC BACK OF THE NETO showcased their dominance with a stunning 4-0 victory over SVR. It was a terrific team performance from NETO that secured them the win with striker Sam once again in the goals with a well taken double. Further strikes from Harry and Chris were enough to see off a depleted SVR.

In the evening's second match, Passion FC returned to winning ways with a solid 5 2 win over WBS. Lead by the superb Alex Mcphail at the back and the dangerous Carmen up front, The Passionfruits had too much for their opponents. Carmen helped himself to 2 goals with Alex, Mitch and a superb solo effort from captain Richie completing the scoring. WBS will look to bounce back next week after falling slightly short on this occasion.

Over in Division 1, the match between TK Maxx Club De Futbol and FC Shrewbacca resulted in an thrilling 6-3 win for TK Maxx.  Superb doubles from Toby and Harry along with goals from Max and Josh gave TK a well earned win. Shrewbacca scored some great goals themselves, with Don and a brace from Ben Cowley competing their scoring.

With just two more weeks left in the season, the competition is heating up and teams are vying for the top spots in their respective divisions. Tigers need only 1 more point to secure back to back Premiership titles whilst the battled for promotion is hotting up in division 1 with 4 teams all in contention for second spot. 

As we approach the final weeks of the season, the anticipation is mounting. Will the current frontrunners maintain their lead, or will we see a surprise overturn? Stay tuned for more updates from the thrilling Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side football league.
