Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues.

In the thrilling climax of the Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side football league season, Premier League titans FC BACK OF THE NETO and Division 1 champions Tony's Tigers emerged victorious, bringing an exciting season to a close.

In the much-anticipated final night , FC BACK OF THE NETO demonstrated their football prowess, securing a comfortable 2 - 0 victory over hard-fighting Six Offenders. The undisputed star of the Premier League division was Sam of FC BACK OF THE NETO, who scored a game-changing goal, securing his position as the top scorer in the division. Sam's performance was instrumental in NETO winning the division with an impressive total of 17 points. A huge shout out goes to previous champions SIx Offenders who have played some fantastic football over the past few months but now bow out of the league with many of their players travelling large distances to play.

Meanwhile, in the same division, a nail-biting relegation battle took pace between WBS FC  and SVR with WBS clinching a narrow 1 - 0 win to survive on the final day. It was a sickener for SVR who searched frantically for an equaliser but a well-taken strike by WBS' Tom proved the difference between the 2 sides in a fiercely contested match. SVR will now have to lay off their tea lady and groundsman as the price of relegation takes it's terrible toll.

In an entertaining friendly match, Barely Athletic took on Tony's Tigers with the Tigers coming out resounding winners. The Tigers had already clinched promotion and the Division 1 title and showcased their class on the field. They will now look to mount a Premier League title bid next season. They will certainly be a side to watch.

In Division 1, the highlight was undoubtedly the spectacular performance of FC Shrewbacca, who triumphed over Halfway Wanderers with a staggering 7 - 1 victory. Shrewbacca clinched promotion as runners up in the division having secured yet another victory as part of an incredible late surge which saw them promoted. A hatrick for the second week running from captain Stephen Coyle and goals from Luke, Ben and Lee saw off newcomers Wanderers who are still finding their feet in the league.

In the final match of the evening, Passion FC also pulled off an impressive 4 - 2 victory against TERNHILL RANGERS. In a hard-fought battle, with both sides not giving an inch, "The Passionfruits" overwhelmed their opponents for the second week running and are building great momentum for a promotion push next season. Goals from Olli, Carmen and a flying volley from man of the match Richie, secured them the points with Rangers replying through Munn and Jack. Ternhill, despite finishing the season with back-to-back defeats, have showcased their ability throughout the season and will no doubt soon be back to winning ways.

As the final whistle blew, it marked the end of a thrilling season, with FC BACK OF THE NETO clinching Premier League and Tonys Tigers winning Division 1. Shrewbacca will join the Tigers  in promotion to the Premier with SVR relegated to Division 1. Congratulations to all of the winners, in what has been a fantastic season. A huge thank you to all the teams who have participated in such good spirit and and here's to another exciting season of Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side football.
