With women’s football fever sweeping the nation following the success of the Lionesses’ now is a really good time to remind everyone that women’s and mixed teams are always welcome to play in in our leagues.

The Monday 6 a side league which is scheduled to kick off at London Road Sports Centre is already proving popular with teams from across the community signing up to play.

One of the things we pride ourselves on is the way we are able to attract players from diverse backgrounds to play and this commitment to equality extends to welcoming women’s teams and mixed teams too.

As long as you are 16 or over you can join us for the games when they kick off on Monday 11th September and we look forward to welcoming all the budding Alessia Russo’s and Mary Earps'.

Female referees are also welcomed, and they do not need to be qualified, but they can be assured of the strictest discipline in 6 a side football, anywhere in the UK.
