It was a great evening of football at Shrewsbury Leisure Leagues on Monday. We were delighted to welcome two new teams to the league ahead of upcoming league extension! Welcome Ellesmere Ranger and Autism on Turf

The Shrewsbury Monday Football League hosted its dramatic ninth week last night, with teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions displaying exhilarating performances on the field. 

In the Premier League, there were nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat moments as Tonys Tigers managed to edge out Passion FC with a razor-thin victory of 1-0. In another thrilling encounter, Hardly Athletic outperformed WBS FC in a tight contest, winning 2-1. The star of the night was undoubtedly Oscar from Hardly Athletic, who impressed everyone by scoring two goals, earning him the title of the top scorer in the Premier League.

The Division 1 matches were equally exciting. Barely Athletic faced a tough time on the field, succumbing to a crushing 7-0 defeat against Manj Dog. KFC showcased a strong game against Halfway Wanderers, winning 5-1, and Jock Itch FC dominated FC Shrewbacca, winning with an impressive seven goals to one. The highlight of the night was Jordan D from Jock Itch FC, who exhibited a remarkable performance by scoring three goals, making him the top scorer in Division 1.
