Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side football league returned this week for the much-anticipated second week of the season, promising an exciting showcase of local talent. We were delighted to welcome both Dale FC and Anchor FC to the league!

In the Premier League division, all teams showed up prepared for fierce competition. In a tight match, Ellesmere Rangers were superb as they managed to hold FC BACK OF THE NETO to a 1-1 draw, an early display of the league's competitive nature.Dale FC were very impressive on their debut as they beat Jockitch FC 5-1, to show that their potential title contenders! However, Tony's Tigers managed to break away from the competition by securing a commanding 3-0 victory over The Regular Guys. The star player of the week in this division was Joel Brown, who scored the only goal for Tony's Tigers, making him the top scorer of the Premier League division.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, there was no shortage of goals. Autism On Turf faced a tough defeat against Grange R Us, with the scoreboard ending at 2-8. FC Shrewbacca was unable to hold off Halfway Wanderers, who dominated with an 8-3 win. Meanwhile KFC lost out to The Regular Guys in a 3-1 defeat. Lastly, Anchor FC put up a strong performance against WBS FC, taking home a 5-2 victory. The standout player in this division was Lee of Halfway Wanderers, who managed an impressive 5-goal haul, earning him the title of top scorer for Division 1.
