Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

It was a fantastic evening of action in our Shrewsbury 6-a-side league with all teams in attendance as scheduled. We thank all teams for their continued support and reliability as always!

In the Premier League division, a stunning victory was claimed by FC BACK OF THE NETO as they defeated Ellesmere Rangers 6-1. George Armstrong emerged as the star of the match, scoring a hat-trick and earning the title of the top scorer in the Premier League division. 

Meanwhile, Hardly Athletic managed to outshine Map Group FC in a riveting match, concluding with a 5-3 win. Dale FC, however, struggled against Jock Itch FC and ended with a heavy 13-3 defeat. The last match in the Premier League division was dominated by Goals Aloud who defeated Verve FC 7-2.

Over in Division 1, the week kicked off with a stalemate between Grange R Us and Welshpool Wanderers, each scoring a goal. FC Shrewbacca triumphed over Halfway Wanderers with a narrow 2-1 victory. The intensity of the league escalated as KFC and The Regular Guys ended their match with a 3-3 draw, with Jake from The Regular Guys matching the performance of Armstrong by scoring three goals and becoming the top scorer of the Division 1.

The week concluded with a clean sweep by WBS FC against Shropshire Concrete FC, winning 4-0.

These matches have truly set the tone for the rest of the season, with players giving their best on the field, and teams competing fiercely for the top spots in both divisions. We wish all teams the very best of luck for next week!
