Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

Please can all teams be reminded that we are off next week for the Easter Bank Holiday, the league resumes as normal on April 28th

It was a great night at Shrewsbury Leisure Leagues on Monday which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled. We were thrilled to welcome Southside RedNexs to the league!

In the Premier League, FC BACK OF THE NETO showcased their offensive prowess with a 7-4 victory over SouthSide Rednexs. The match turned out to be a scoring fest with Ali of FC BACK OF THE NETO taking the spotlight as he netted four times, making him the top scorer in the division. Meanwhile, Hardly Athletic edged Buzzards in a tight encounter, finishing with a 2-1 scoreline. WBS FC and Ellesmere Rangers shared the spoils with a 3-3 draw, and Goals Aloud secured a 3-1 win against Masala FC.

Moving on to Division 1, the week kicked off with an evenly contested match between Wetherspoon Wanderers and Potters FC, both teams settling for a 2-2 draw. Kris Lancaster of Potters FC shone with a brace, claiming the top scorer spot in Division 1. KFC edged past FC Shrewbacca with a 2-0 victory. Verve FC demonstrated their dominance over Grange R Us with a 3-0 win. Lastly, Straw Hats triumphed over Halfway Wanderers with a 4-1 victory.
