On the thrilling evening of Shrewsbury Monday Football, our sides picked up where they left off with a series of action packed matches.
In the Premier League division, a tightly contested game was witnessed between Barely Athletic and SVR, with SVR managing to sneak past their rivals with a narrow 1 - 0 victory. The win helped eased relegation fears as they moved into mid table security for the time being.
Elsewhere,in the division, a scoring feast unfolded as Six Offenders outplayed WBS FC with a stunning 5 - 2 scoreline. It was Six Offenders' Lewis Smith who stole the show in this match, scoring an impressive brace and earning himself the title of top scorer in the Premier League division this week. As the action moved to Division 1, TERNHILL RANGERS left a lasting impression with a dominant 4 - 1 victory over newcomers Golden Boots. Despite a tight first half, Ternhill, as they often do, went through the gears in the second to secure a comfortable victory. Adam Munn starred scoring a brace. There were plenty of positives to take for Golden Boots who showed that they will be a match for any team when their match fitness is up to speed.
In a friendly match, The Other Team showed their superiority on the field by securing a handsome 3-1 victory over Back of the Neto. Goals from Dan, Ryan and Robbie secured the win. They are quietly beginning to string together some excellent performances and will be a side to watch in division 1 for the remaining matches.
In the evening's final game FC Shrewbacca also managed to edge out Tony's Tigers in a closely fought 3 - 2 encounter. A fantastic all round team performance and a goalkeeping masterclass from Don "The Don" secured their victory.
