Title: Shrewsbury Thursday League Week 4: Action-Packed Performances in Premier League and Division 1
It was a great evening of action at in our very popular Thursday League which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled.
Please can we reiterate to all teams that abusive language towards other players or match officials are not tolerated in our league. Any players who are deemed to be behaving in a way which is not in keeping with Leisure Leagues will be removed from the league
In the Premier League, Magpies On Tour stepped up their game, defeating Charles Darwin FC in a resounding 4-1 victory. The exceptional performance of their strikers, coupled with a robust defensive line-up, led to their success. Red Barn Utd followed suit, with an equally impressive 4-1 win against U5. The final match of the division saw OBL FC defeating Masala FC 3-1, in what can only be described as a solid performance.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, it was an equally heated affair. ABP FC succumbed to Bumfica in a tightly contested match that ended 2-1 in favour of the latter. WEMERDALE emerged as the top scorers of the division with a 4-2 victory over Petr Cech His Hardrive. The competitive night concluded with a 1-1 draw between Bayern Choonich and The Foxy Boys, leaving the outcome of the Division 1 wide open.
