In the exhilarating first week of the new season of the Sittingbourne Sunday Football League, teams across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 divisions battled it out in a passionate display of talent and teamwork.
In the Premier League, the Bread Devils triumphed over Sheppey Wednesday with a thrilling 5-2 victory, largely owing to the exceptional performance of Alfie Willett. Willett, the top scorer in the division, netted an impressive total of three goals, setting a high bar for the rest of the season. Elsewhere, ClassOnFakeGrass defeated Porky United 4-1, while Murston Massive and Madeleine Milan ended with a 1-1 draw.
Division 1 matches were equally captivating. Overweight FC had a commanding 6-2 win over Lads On Toure, thanks to Jonny, the division's top scorer, who contributed two goals. Meanwhile, Expected Toulouse earned a decisive 5-2 victory against Bengali Bulldogs, and Sparshatt Sitti tied with Classics FC in a tight 1-1 match.
The competition was fierce in Division 2 as well. Medway Mandem, led by top scorer Luke with three goals, claimed a resounding 6-2 victory over One Legged Ballers. JA 1-2-1 FOOTBALL shut out Unathletico FC with a 3-0 win, and STFC narrowly edged out Kent Madrid FC with a 1-0 triumph.
