It was another excellent evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league at Sixways this week with all teams in attendance and back to normal following the bank holiday which saw a couple of teams have to cancel.
We welcomed new team Goals Aloud to the league this week and although they endured a tough start to action with a 9-2 defeat against OCM, they were said to be in good spirits and will be looking to improve on things next week.
The top of the Premier Division has opened up considerably following this weeks action, with three teams tied on 10 points. TSG Scoffenheim won the battle of the top two as they overcame Crouch Potato convincingly, 5-2 the final score. Toast were 3-0 winners over General Sports Enthusiasts which makes for an exciting few weeks to come. New team Vue Bar continue to show their class as they were 6-2 winners over Tinchy Sneijder, showing that they may be a force in the second half of the season too. Elswehere Balt-J FC picked up their first points of the season with a hard fought 2-1 win against We Lose Evra Week.
It was another resounding victory for Tics on Toure who continue to dominate Division One, they were 7-1 victors over Route One Rovers, having now scored an impressive 51 goals in just 7 games. Bayern Neverlusen are just two points off the pace though, and have only been beaten by Tics this season, they were 8-0 winners over Victor Moses Lawn meaning the next meeting between the two top teams could be crucial. DOFM and Stroke Titty played out an entertaining 2-2 draw to remain fourth and third respectively.
Phoenix continue to top Division Two on goal difference alone as they are still chased down by Moyes N The Hood. Phoenix picking up a 3-1 win over Marijuana Fellaini and Moyes winning 2-1 against Worcester Villa as both lead the way convincingly heading into the second half of the campaign. ItsHayleyBeanie'sboys moved into third place after beating Badgers Without Borders 4-1, and Camo moved up a place to fifth with a 3-1 victory against seventh placed Woodgreen FC.
