Monday 15th July - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league verall this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches, the only exception being Monner Athletic who were away on holiday and return to action for the next round of fixtures.

In the Premier League, Brap FC narrowly defeated Pickle Pinchers 2-1 in a tightly contested match. Texas Oldham and Phoenix presented a goal fest, with Texas Oldham clinching the game 5-4. However, the highlight was the dominant performance by Daddy Ben, who trounced 2goals1cup with a resounding 8-1 victory. Châteauneuf-du-Pape also delivered an imposing performance, shutting out CWLC FC 5-0.

Over in Division 1, Salty Sea-Men bested Class On Artificial Grass 2-1, while Woodgreen FC and Inter Ya Nan battled to a 2-2 draw. Full Kit Yankers managed to edge out GSE 3-2 in a nail-biting finish.

Division 2 saw Backstreet Moyes falling to Purkinje Fibres 2-0, while Choppy Fellas and Pepe Pig as well as Unathletico Madrid and Gully Boys ended their matches in 1-1 draws. Chunk And The 7 Dwarves secured a narrow 4-3 victory against Exeter Gently in a match that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.
