Monday 16th January - Worcester Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance across all three divisions as scheduled throughout the night.

New boys Pickle Pinchers are certainly ruffling some feathers in the Premier Division, beating second place last week and this week making leaders Phoenix have to settle for a point in a game that ended 1-1.  Clash of Dudes moved into second place with a convincing 7-2 win over Indra, whilst Chateuneuf Du Pape leapfrogged General Sports Enthusiasts into third after consigning their opponents to a 2-0 defeat.  Elsewhere Woodgreen's 3-0 win over Greyhound saw them climb to sixth and push their opponents into the drop zone.

The top two teams in Division One show no let up as leaders What Team Name were 9-3 winners over Unathletico Madrid, whilst second placed Sporting A Beergut thrashed Visionary FC 7-2 to remain locked on points with the leaders.  Salty Sea Men remain in third but cannot gain promotion now despite a 4-2 win over Daddy Ben.

In Division Two leaders Crouch Potato are almost there in terms of promotion following their 2-0 win against Plunger & Superglue, whilst Goals Aloud made hard work of it, but remain in second thanks to a 6-5 win over Chunk and Seven Dwarves in an eleven goal thiller.  Shout out to Night Shift who got their first win since joining as they were 2-1 winners over Monner in a dogged performance.
