Monday 17th April saw a full house at Sixways Stadium for the Worcester 6-a-side league, with all teams across three divisions showing up as scheduled, barring the late cancellations from What Team Name, Greyhound FC and Visionary FC, who have confirmed their return on the 24th.
The Premier Division was as competitive as ever, with Phoenix soaring to a 3-0 victory over Woodgreen FC. Meanwhile, General Sports Enthusiasts and Châteauneuf-du-Pape went head to head in a nail-biting encounter that saw the latter emerge victorious with a 3-2 win.
In Division One, Class on Artificial Grass proved to be a cut above the rest as they secured a 3-1 victory over Texas Oldham. The Salty Sea-Men dominated Unathletico Madrid, securing a 5-0 win, while Crouch Potato narrowly defeated Inter Ya Nan 3-2.
Finally, in Division Two, Monner Athletic beat Night Shift 3-1, Full Kit Yankers overcame Chunk and the 7 Dwarves with a 4-2 win, and Daddy Ben absolutely dominated Indra with an 8-2 victory. The Malvern Massive were unable to match the prowess of Plunger & Superglue, who secured a 3-1 win.
Overall, it was an exciting and action-packed evening of football, with plenty of drama and skill on display from all teams involved.
