it was another fantastic evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league at Sixways as the league continues to go from strength to strength. All 24 teams in attendance for their matches once again and some entertaining football on display!
It was the friendly derby this week in the Premier Division as Scoffenheim and Toast met, both of which were level on points in a packed top four. Scoffenheim ran out emphatic winners in this one with a 7-2 thrashing as they and Crouch Potato moved 2 points clear of third and fourth position. Crouch sit top of the table on goal difference as they met another of the top four, running out 6-3 winners in an entertaining clash with Baines on Toast. Incredibly, five teams now sit on four points in what is shaping up to look like a group of death with anyone capable of picking up a result no matter the opponents.
Tics on Toure were in relentless form this week after they steam rolled Victor Moses Lawn 13-0, not only keeping their lead at the top, but adding to an already impressive goal difference which may well act as an extra point come the end of the season. Stroke Titty remain on the tails of the leaders though and won a 9 goal thriller 6-3 in their match against OCM. Third placed Bayern Neverlusen won an 11 goal thriller 6-5 as they met Worcester FC. Route One Rovers completed the Division one goal glut with a comprehensive 8-0 win against Yamawacki.
Phoenix's relentless form continues in Division Two, a 10-0 win their latest result over Badgers Without Borders, as they look to wrap up the title at the earliest possible opportunity. Moyes N The Hood may not be as prolific in front of goal, but are level on points and maintain their 100% record, they were 3-1 winners over Woodgreen FC. It looks as though when the two meet will be instrumental as to who wins the title.
We wish all teams good luck ahead of their game on Monday 26th April with Worcester's premier small sided football providers!
