Monday 1st July - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring Sporting a Beergut who we look forward to seeing return on Monday 8th July, and Texas Oldham who were away on holiday and return as normal next week.

In the Premier League, Pickle Pinchers came out strong against the 2goals1cup with a sensational 13-0 victory, dominating the field throughout the game. Meanwhile, Phoenix claimed a narrow 1-0 win against Châteauneuf-du-Pape, demonstrating their defensive prowess. Lastly, CWLC FC saw off Daddy Ben with a comfortable 2-0 victory, securing their place in the league.

Division 1 witnessed exciting matches as well. Salty Sea-Men triumphed over Woodgreen FC with a 2-1 victory. Full Kit Yankers put up an impressive performance against Monner Athletic, securing a 3-1 victory. In another thrilling match, Inter Ya Nan came out on top with a 3-1 victory against GSE.

The action continued in Division 2, with Real SoSoBad pulling off a 4-2 win against Backstreet Moyes. Purkinje Fibres held their ground against Unathletico Madrid, finishing the match with a 3-0 victory. Chunk And The 7 Dwarves claimed a close 2-1 victory against Pepe Pig. Lastly, in a high-scoring match, Exeter Gently triumphed over Gully Boys with a 7-5 scoreline.

We welcome new team Choppy Fellas to the league from Monday 8th July, they replace the outgoing Unathletico Madrid in Division Two and we wish them good luck going into their debut game with us.
