It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a league at Sixways this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across all three divisions.
Phoenix were 3-1 winners in their match against Gateshead United to pick up their second win in succession, whilst champions Tics on Toure also have back to back wins following their 4-2 victory over Woodgreen! Shamgwop got their first points of the campaign in a thrilling 9-4 win over Crouch Potato, whilst newly promoted Route One Rovers were emphatic 6-0 winners against Chateuneuf Du Pape who also came up from Division One.
In Division One, Goals Aloud sit top of the table after an impressive opening two games in which they've scored 13 goals, they were 9-2 winners over Bendtner Over this week. Greyhound FC edged past ABCDE FC by a 2-1 score line to keep up their perfect start to the season since joining the league. The other two games in the division were thrillers as Who Ate All Depays got their first win since promotion in the form of an 8-3 rout over We Lose Evra Week, and Rodallega Bombs were 8-4 winners over Inter Ya Nan in a night packed with goals!
The goals also flowed in Division Two, as Hayley Beanie Boys were convincing 6-1 winners over Balt-J FC to lead the way in the standings, whilst General Sports Enthusiasts also got their second win in a row, winning a 10 goal thriller v Nomers by a 6-4 score line. Plunger & Superglue were 8-1 winners over Gerry Hat Tricks to get their first points of the season on the board, whilst Rybrook Raiders won a ten goal game against Malvern Massive by 7 goals to 3.
