Monday 24th October - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night across all three divisions, and some excellent football played!

Phoenix dropped from the top of the Premier Division table this week after being held to a 2-2 draw by Woodgreen FC, whilst Chateuneuf Du Pape climbed up to third place with an impressive 4-1 win over Nomers who tasted defeat for the first time in 16 games!  General Sports Enthusiasts climbed from the bottom of the table as they edged past Greyhound FC by 2 goals to 1.

In Division One, What Team Name were 4-3 winners over Salty Sea-Men to keep up their 100% record.  Inter Ya Nan moved up to third place with an emphatic 9-0 win against Unathletico Madrid to claim their first win but remain unbeaten, whilst Sporting a Beergut claimed a 5-1 win over ABCDE FC to recover from last week's defeat.

We Lose Evra Week's name couldn't be further off the mark so far this season, as they got their third win in a row as they were 6-1 victors over Plunger & Superglue.  Goals Aloud sit in second spot after a 3-2 win over Monner Athletic claiming their second win in three matches, whilst Crouch Potato's 3-1 win over All On Red propels them to third position.  Elsewhere Malvern Massive and Jewventus shared the spoils in a game that ended 3-3.
