It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Sixways Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across all three divisions, barring a late cancellation from Inter Ya Nan who return to action on Monday 6th March.
Chateuneuf Du-Pape keep their place at the top of the Premier Division after their third win from four was an impressive 4-1 triumph over strugglers General Sports Enthusiasts. Sporting A Beergut moved up to second place as they inflicted a second heavy defeat in a row on What Team Name, beating them 7-1, this result saw Phoenix drop to third despite winning as they were overtaken on goal difference, they were 5-3 winners in an entertaining clash with Woodgreen FC. Last but by no means least in the division was a FIFTEEN goal thriller in which Clash of Dudes were victorious over Greyhound FC, 10-5 the full time result.
Class on Artificial Grass were stumped for the first time since joining this week in Division One, as they were beaten 2-1 by fellow new boys Texas Oldham in a closely competed encounter, you can say what you want about Texas but they seem to be finding form recently as they got their second win in a row. Pickle Pinchers took full advantage of this and claimed their fourth win on the spin as the new leaders were 5-3 winners against Visionary FC to keep their perfect run intact. Salty Sea-Men were another team on the climb as they went into second spot courtesy of a comfortable 4-1 win against Unathletico.
Division Two remains led by Daddy Ben who's fourth win in a row was a rampant 9-2 victory against Indra, they move three points clear at this early stage thanks to the teams below them dropping points. Second place is now occupied by Plunger & Superglue who edged past their opponents Malvern Massive by a single goal. Chunk and The Seven Dwarves moved into third place with a 2-1 win against Full Kit Yankers who they leapfrog in the table, whilst Monner Athletic ran riot against a sleepy Night Shift in a game that ended 7-1 to the former.
