Monday 28th March - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some excellent matches played across the three divisions.

Phoenix and Tics on Toure remain neck and neck at the top of the Premier Division with Phoenix leading the way with a superior goal difference, they were 9-2 winners over Route One Rovers this week, whilst Tics came out on top of an 11 goal thriller, winning by a 6-5 scoreline.  Shamgwop Rovers remain on the periphery of the summit, sitting a point off the pace as they also romped to a 9-2 win against strugglers Chateuneuf Du-Pape.

Division One remains equally as tight at the top of the table as the top three, separated by just two points all won their games this week.  Leaders Rodallega Bombs were convincing 8-3 winners in their game against Bendtner Over, whilst Greyhound FC won an entertaining game against Inter Ya Nan by 5 goals to 3.  Third placed Goals Aloud keep their promotion hopes alive as they hammered We Lose Evra Week by 7 without reply, whilst the mid-table battle between ABCDE FC and Who Ate All Depays ended as you may expect, all square, 2-2 the final score.

The battle of the top two in Division Two was a lot more one sided than expected, General Sports Enthusiasts ran out 5-0 winners over Hayley Beanie Boys, keeping their 100% record intact and showing that they mean business this season as they now sit three points clear.  Rybrook are back in the promotion hunt after a 5-0 win this week, whilst fourth placed Plunger & Superglue look to be struggling to keep up with the teams above them, they suffered a 3-2 reverse to Nomers, who move up to fifth and level on points with this weeks opponents.  Elsewhere Balt-J FC moved to within a point of their opponents Malvern Massive whom they dispatched comfortably by 3 goals to nil.
