Monday 2nd September - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches, barring CWLC FC who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Monday 9th September.

In the Premier League division, Pickle Pinchers demonstrated their dominance with a 2-0 victory over Texas Oldham, while Châteauneuf-du-Pape trounced Class On Artificial Grass 7-1, showcasing their offensive prowess. Phoenix was not to be outdone, pulling off a clean 3-0 victory against Salty Sea-Men.

The Division 1 matches were no less captivating. Daddy Ben claimed a 2-0 victory against GSE, while Pepe Pig managed to edge out Woodgreen FC 3-2 in an intense back-and-forth battle. The night, however, belonged to Purkinje Fibres who pulled off a commanding 7-2 victory against 2goals1cup, making them the top scorers in their division.

In the Division 2 series, Chunk And The 7 Dwarves came out on top against Gully Boys with a score of 5-2. Unathletico Madrid and Monner Athletic ended up in a 1-1 draw, and Exeter Gently narrowly defeated Inter Ya Nan 3-2. The top scorer title for this division went to Choppy Fellas, who triumphed over Is Your Motherwell with a 4-1 victory.
