Tuesday 11th February - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 7 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across the three divisions.

Poor Toe FC continued their impressive start to the campaign recording their fifth win in six matches with a 2-0 victory over Crouching Woman this week, they now sit three points clear of second placed Hakuna Juan Mata who nicked a close game against Gangs of Dwight Yorke 1-0.  Droitwich Galacticos went up to third place following an 8-0 thrashing of Hangover 96 whilst Woodgreen FC moved out of the bottom two at the expense of Murder on Zidane's Floor who they beat 4-1.

Startin S7 continued their perfect start to the campaign and extended their lead at the top of Division One to a comfortable 4 points after beating second placed 1860 Worcester 4-1.  BBC FC were 3-2 winners in an entertaining game against Nutty Marauders to move themselves into third place whilst Inter Menan and Knotvery Athletic couldn't be separated as they drew 1-1.

It was all change at the top of Division Two as Centurions dropped from top to third following a narrow 2-1 reverse at the hands of Youlose who move up to second.  There is a new leader in Boi FC who won 2-0 against ABCDE FC as three teams are now tied on 9 points.  Elsewhere Purge FC moved up to fifth spot with a 1-0 win against 8DFC who they move above, whilst the bottom two couldn't be separated as Battenhall and Baeman ended goalless.

After playing out their 2 week withdrawal notice Hangover 96 have now withdrawn from the league after their team captain received a permanent ban.
