It was another superb evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 7 a side league as we played the second round of fixtures for the new season this week. We were pleased to see that as ever, all 24 teams across the three divisions were in attendance for their matches throughout the night.
Gruppo Select secured their second win in succession to start the campaign off, as they were 2-1 winners in a tightly contested game against Gangs of Dwight Yorke. Inter Menan also made it 2 wins from as many games with a 3-0 victory against Crouching Woman Hidden Cucumber. Elsewhere Poor Toe won an entertaining game against Dynamo Kebab 3-2, whilst Startin S7 got back to winning ways after last weeks defeat, a 5-1 victory against newly promoted Centurions in a convincing performance.
Real Porkrib were 8-3 winners in a thrilling encounter against Crouch Potatoes to sit top of the table on goal difference. Inside England FC completed their second win in a row for the new season as they ran out 4-0 winners against Purge. Slide Matip In moved into third spot as they added to last weeks draw with a 2-0 victory over Murder on Zidane's Floor. Nothing could separate Nutty Marauders and Boi FC in a 1-1 draw.
In Division Two, Bootlegger Athletic added to last weeks 1-0 win with a convincing 3-0 win against Scranny Bao to lead the way with maximum points at this early stage of the season. Battenhall Wanderers sit in second place on goal difference which was boosted by a 5-0 win over Warndon Heath who continue to get to grips with the league since joining for this season. KFC won by a single goal in their game against Haywood Jablowme whilst it was honours even in the game between Beaman FC and RB Old Boys, 1-1 the final score.
