It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night across all three divisions.
Nutty Marauders got their third win on the spin in the Premier Division as they cruised past Sheffield Tuesday by 4 goals to 1, keeping them a point ahead of champions Allstar Rejects in the season's infancy, the second placed team making it back to back wins since their opening day draw, thrashing RB Old Boys 6-1. Dynamo Kebab ran out winners of a closely fought five goal game as they edged past Green Army 3-2, whilst the action was completed by a 7-3 win for Crouch Potatoes over Murder on Zidane's Floor!
Newly promoted to Division One Snorting Lisbon have had a strong start to the season and remain unbeaten so far, although they had to share a point apiece in a six goal game, drawing 3-3 with Only Fools and Scousers. A 4-0 win for Expected Toulouse moves them joint top after game 3, they cruised past Joel Touchmatip, the other two games were closely fought and entertaining with Purge FC moving to third after a 3-2 win against Warndon Heath, moving above Gruppo Select who were shocked by Boi FC who came out on top in a 4-3 thriller.
In Division Two, a third win and clean sheet in a row for Chicken Tikka Mo Salah sees them sit pretty at the top, they were 2-0 winners against Goals Aloud. Inter Ya Nan's 3-1 win against Busty Badgers also sees them on maximum points thus far, whilst new boys BDS FC looked a solid addition to the league, running out 5-2 winners over Centurions in a well drilled debut performance. It ended honours even between HIV Eindhoven and Tupsley FCC who drew 1 apiece.
We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football.
