It was another fantastic evening's 7 a side football in Worcester on Tuesday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exception being a cancellation from 'Droitwich Old Boys' who we thank for contacting us and look forward to seeing return on Tuesday 4th September.
Pique Blinders picked up an impressive 5-1 victory over Startin S7 in the Premier Division to put themselves in second place on goal difference, with Cobras dropping to third, albeit on goal difference after a 1-1 draw against Gangs of Dwight Yorke.
Division One is anybody's with 4 teams tied on 11 points! This after Rybrook Seagulls beat Hakuna Juan Mata 3-1 to level the points. Wodgreen and Wallop United both won to keep themselves in contention for the promotion spaces. It seems to be split into two mini leagues with the bottom 4 seperated by 3 points.
Game of the night in Division Two was (perhaps unexpectedly) the top v bottom encounter, with Maradona Kebab pushed all the way by Sparks FC, coming out 5-3 winners in the end to keep themselves 3 points clear. Murder On Zidane's won 8-1 against Boi FC meaning they now have the slightly superior goal difference. It looks like the clash between the top two on 18th September is going to be the one which decides where the title is going this season.
Good luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier provider of small sided football.
