It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.
A special mention goes to Murder on Zidane's Floor who have withdrawn from the league after completing their 2 week notice period. They are one of our very first teams who signed up with us in the Sixways leagues having joined us in November 2016, barely missing a game in that time. We thank them for their time in the league and hope to see them return at some point in future. They went out in style, losing a ten goal thriller 6-4 to Sheffield Tuesday!
We welcome new returning team Haywood Jablowme into the league as a replacement for the above, and wish these good luck going into their game on Tuesday 4th April!
On the field this week, Nutty Marauders perfect start to the Premier Division extended again to week 4, they overcame RB Old Boys 3-2 in a well competed game. Allstar Rejects remain on the tails of the leaders having won 3-0 against Dynamo Kebab, as they look to get back to familiar territory at the top. Crouch Potatoes climbed up a place to third in the table having won 3-2 against Green Army.
Purge FC haven't looked back since their opening day defeat in Division One, winning three in a row since and now sitting top of the table, this week they were 2-1 winners over Snorting Lisbon whom they toppled from the top to third. Gruppo Select sit in second place and boosted their goal difference considerably this week as they romped to a 7-1 victory over Warndon Heath. Only Fools and Scousers picked up their first win of the campaign as they triumphed 3-1 against Expected Toulouse. Well done to Joel Touchmatip, who at the 15th time of asking since joining the league, picked up their first win! The performance they put in wouldn't have suggested so, as they cruised to 3-0 scoreline against Boi FC.
In DIvision Two, Chicken TIkka Mo Salah picked up their fourth win, and another clean sheet to boot this week, beating Busty Badgers 3-0 to sit pretty thanks to their superior goal difference. They are however tailed by Inter Yanan who also have maximum points at this stage, they scraped past HIV Eindhoven 3-2 as the bottom team seem to be improving in recent weeks as their games become closer. The action was completed as Tupsley FCC and BDS FC shared a point apiece in a 2-2 scoreline.
We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football.
