Tuesday 29th January - Worcester Round-Up

It was a great return to action in the Worcester Tuesday 7 a side league this week with all teams in attendance following the one week cancellation last week.

FC Timisoara look as though they've sealed another league title despite an indifferent run of results around Christmas, they find themselves 2 points clear and with a superior goal difference to second place following their 7-0 win over Woodgreen FC.

BBC FC now sit in second place after they convincingly beat Hakuna Juan Mata 3-0, Mata now slip to fourth place as Gangs of Dwight Yorke won 2-1 over Bridgemen.  All three could finish in second spot which keeps it interesting entering the final week of the season.

Maradona Kebab remain top of the table by goal difference, albeit a rather superior one after they won 6-2 against Murder on Zidane's Floor.  Wallop were also winners in their game as they beat Purge FC 2-0 but Maradona Kebab will want to make sure they win their final game next week so they aren't relying on other results!  Certainly makes for an exciting last week.

Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole sealed the Division Two title this week and did so in style as they thrashed 1860 Worcester 5-1.  Bell FC and Nutty Marauders are still battling it out for the second promotion spot in this league as just one point separates the two going into the last week of the season, both picked up wins this week, Bell beating Boi FC 2-1 and Nutty Marauders 5-1 over Sparks FC.
