It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week once again, with all 18 teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some closely contested games across all three divisions.
Incredibly there are four teams in the Premier Division title hunt with just one game to play. It is advantage Nutty Marauders though as they sit a point clear of the chasing pack, they were 2-0 winners over Dynamo Kebab and overtook Boi FC who suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of the relegated Centurions to blow things wide open. Put It In Dias also put themselves back in the hunt as they edged past Gangs of Dwight Yorke by a single goal.
All Star Rejects incredible season continues as they recorded their eighth win in 9 games, a 3-1 win over Crouch Potatoes their latest triumph. The rest of this league is also very close as three teams can get promoted via second spot. Purge FC sit second after their 3-0 win over RB Old Boys but will need to get a result out of All Star Rejects to do so, which may be a tough ask. Murder on Zidane's are also firmly in the hunt for promotion and boosted their goal difference with a 7-0 thrashing of Puyol Pants Down.
In Division Two, promoted NCO FC were 2-1 winners in their meeting against Warndon Heath who now look highly unlikely to gain promotion, as second placed Battenhall Wanderers were 2-0 winners over Six Offenders.
We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league, this helps everything run smoothly as ever.
