It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches barring a cancellation from RB Old Boys who are due to return on Tuesday 12th July.
We are delighted to welcome FOUR NEW TEAMS to the league from 12th July. Unreal Madrid, Sheffield Tuesday, Hanleys Finest and Busty Badgers go into a Mini Division with each other and will play each other once to assess their standard, we will then place these teams into the regular divisions for the next season and change the setup of the league to 3 x divisions of 8 teams!
The top three teams in the Premier Division won again as all three chase down the title and only three points separate them in what promises to be an exciting end to the season. Leaders Allstar Rejects were 7-2 winners over Boi FC to keep themselves two points clear of Purge in second place, who beat Dynamo Kebab 4-2, whilst third placed NCO FC ran out 4-3 winners over Nutty Marauders. NCO face Allstar in a big game next week. Not too Xavi won their fifth game on the spin since joining as they beat relegated Centurions 2-0, they will be looking to mount a title challenge next season based on this form. Elsewhere Crouch Potatoes gave themselves a glimmer of hope of survival as they won an entertaining game against Scranny Bao by a 9-4 scoreline to bring themselves four points behind the team above them, it will still take a lot to beat the drop though.
Division One leaders Murder on Zidane's Floor were held to a 3-3 draw against Green Army but look likely to take the title as the games run out. Zoumas Kitkats 3-2 reverse at the hands of Asbo FC saw them lose ground on second place as they fell two points off the team above them. Elsewhere Woo Town Wanderers were convincing 3-0 winners over bottom team Warndon Heath to keep themselves tucked in mid-table. Haywood Jablowme showed no mercy on new boys Inter Ya Nan and romped to a 14-1 victory over the debutants whom they showed no sympathy.
We wish all teams good luck going into game week 16 with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football.
