It was a good evening's football in the Worthing Tuesday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed matches played throughout the night to kick off the new campaign.
Green Army got off to a flying start this week as they came out the blocks with an 8-1 mauling of Murder on Zidane's Floor, whilst Nutty Marauders were 3-0 winners against Dynamo Kebab to kick off in positive fashion. Newly promoted Sheffield Tuesday set out their stall for the season as they took a point from multiple champions All Star Rejects in a 5-5 thriller, whilst the other newly promoted team RB Old Boys also took a point in their first game in the top league, drawing 4-4 with Crouch Potatoes.
Gruppo Select look like the team to beat in Division One already as they romped to an 8-1 win against Joel Touchmatip, whilst newly promoted Snorting Lisbon got off to a positive start too, winning 6-2 against Boi FC. As did Division Two winners Warndon Heath who were pushed all the way by Only Fools and Scousers but eventually got a 5-4 win. Expected Toulouse completed the action with another end to end game, they were 5-3 winners against Purge FC.
Division Two saw Chicken Tikka Mo Salah get off to a fine start as they romped to a 6-0 win against HIV Eindhoven, whilst Inter Yanan were comfortable 3-0 winners against Centurions who are recently relegated. Completing the action was a well competed encounter in which Busty Badgers beat Tupsley FCC 2-1.
