It was a good evening of 7 a side football in Worcester on Tuesday which saw all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled with the only exception being Maradona Kebab in the Premier Division who cancelled with the required 7 days notice.
New team Inter Menan played their first game in the league as they replaced the expelled FC Timisoara. They had a tough start to life in the Premier Division, losing 8-0 to Woodgreen FC as it seems they will be better suited to a lower division for next season.
The race for promotion in Division One remains exciting going into the final game of the season as just one point separates the top three teams. There is however a new leader as Rybrook Seagulls (now known as Its All Gone Shane Long) beat Droitwich Old Boys 4-1 in a result which sees the latter drop to third. That result means Bell FC Reserves were able to move into second place with a 1-1 draw against Purge FC.
A second defeat in three games for Murder on Zidane's Floor means that the league title race is a lot closer than they'd have liked going into the final week, after they were so far clear a few weeks ago. They were beaten 8-3 by second placed Sparks FC. Startin S7 remain well in the hunt after they ran out 4-1 winners against 1860 Worcester. Sparks and Startin meet in the final game of the season so this means promotion is guaranteed for Murder on Zidane's Floor, however it remains to be seen who will take the title!
Good luck to all teams going into the final round of matches with Worcester's premier small sided football provider.
