It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall. We were however disappointed to see a second failure to attend from Baines on Toast who we have now removed from the league.
We welcome new team 'Kebab Shop Boys' to the league as a replacement for the above and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Wednesday 18th May.
El Nino followed up last weeks good start with another win this week as they made short work of Pershite, running out 7-1 winners, they and Marshelona are the only two teams in the division to have 2 wins in 2. Wednesday Social dropped a place to third this week after sharing the spoils with Sporting a Beergut in an entertaining 3-3 draw. Elsewhere, new team Big Dogs FC had a tough first game, losing 9-0 to champions Priestlane Wanderers in their debut.
The Charvas lead the way on goal difference in Division One as they beat another new team, giving Probably Hungover a headache by beating them 9-3. Expecting Toulouse and Get Your Klopp out also picked up their second wins, Toulouse beating Lads on Toure 5-3 and Klopp winning 4-3 against Bishy FC in two entertaining games! Elsewhere Coral FC won the battle of the two promoted teams and got their season of and running with a convinicing 5-0 victory over Paris Ganjaman.
Small Pond FC were triumphant again this week in Division Two, they were 4-2 winners against Largentina to sit on maximum points so far. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp and Dixie Normous could not be separated this week as both had to settle for a point in a game that ended 1-1, whilst Make 6 a side Great Again recovered from a disappointing defeat last week to thrash Cheeky Naldos 5-0!
In Division Three, Chicken Ball FC were in rampant form again this week, as they showed no sympathy to new team Unathletico, thrashing them 10-0! Murder on Zidane's Floor have also had an impressive start to the new campaign, as they were 4-2 winners over Gotta Die for 3 Pints, their second win on the spin. Elsewhere Vlad's Lads and I Predict a Diet picked up their first wins of the season, both in end to end fixtures, as Vlad's Lads were 5-3 victors over Sixual Deviants and I Predict a Diet won a 10 goal thriller against MEC Cartel 6-4.
We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for game week 3 with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football and thank all for their continued commitment and reliability.
