It was a great evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring Probably Hungover FC who will be spoken to accordingly as this is unusual for them. We also had cancellations from Pique Blinders and Make 6 a side Great Again but thank both for contacting us and look forward to seeing them return on 20th July.
Dales Sixes return to the league saw them pick up an impressive 4-4 draw against Premier Division leaders El Nino FC in their second debut. Sporting A Beergut took full advantage of this to move within a point of the top spot as they were 4-1 winners over Priestlane Wanderers, whilst FC Marshelona moved up to third as they won by the same scoreline over Ayew Gueye. Pershite and Wednesday Social completed the divisions action as they shared a point a piece in a 1-1 draw.
Expecting Toulouse climbed to the top of Division One with just three games to spare as they were comprehensive 7-2 winners against Bishy FC, whilst The Charvas slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Paris Ganja Man to drop to second, both will be confident of promotion though as they have a healthy lead over third with just three to play. Coral FC got a big result in their bid for safety as they were 4-0 winners over second bottom Get Your Klopp Out to move four points clear of the drop zone.
Division Two leaders Small Pond all but sealed promotion as they were comprehensive 6-0 winners over Stud FC this week to move six points clear of third with three games to play and a superior goal difference. The only team standing between the leaders and the title is second placed Dixie Normous who were 5-1 winners over Kebab Shop Boys this week to remain just two points off the summit. The two meet in the final game of the season which could be huge. New team Out On Bale played their first match and got a good result against third placed 2 Girls 1 Schlupp whom they beat 5-3 in a well competed game.
Chicken Ball FC look invincible so far this season, with an 11th win in a row despite sealing the title last week, they are not letting up as they go for a perfect season, this week thrashing I Predict a Diet 7-1. Vlads Lads continue their pursuit for promotion as the second placed team were 5-2 winners over MEC Cartel who are now officially out of the promotion race. Third placed Murder on Zidane's Floor got a well earned 2-0 win over Sixual Deviants as they try and hunt down the team above them. Unathletico's recent improvement continued as they got a second win in a row this week, beating 3 Pints by a 5-1 scoreline.
