Wednesday 19th October - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week with some excellent matches played across all four divisions.

FC Marshelona keep their lead over Chicken Ball as they top the Premier Division with a hard fought 3-2 win over bottom of the league Expected Toulouse.  Second placed Chicken Ball keep the pressure on though as they gained a 6-2 victory over Wednesday Social, whilst Sporting A Beergut were 5-2 winners over Sporting a Beergut.

Division One leaders Small Pond FC's ninth win in ten games came in the form of a 2-0 win against third placed Coral FC meaning they are now eight points ahead of them meaning they're looking certainties for promotion.  New Inn moved up to fourth placed with a clinical performance in front of goal as they thrashed Brap FC 7-2.

In Division Two Sin Sinners won a seven goal thriller against Enter Team Name FC which finished 4-3.  Claines FC moved up to third place as they secured a 2-1 win over Murder on Zidane's Floor, above Up The Alma who drop to fourth after a 2-2 draw with Keith Irvine United.

Division Three leaders Lapwing were held to a 2-2 draw against third placed I Predict a Diet this week, although second placed Gotta Die For 3 Pints were unable to close the gap on the leaders as they were beaten 3-1 by Handover 96 Pies who look solid since joining a few weeks back.  Sporting Bad Haircuts ran out 3-1 winners in their game against Jewventus as they remain in fourth place, whilst completing the action was Ruud Van Nipplejoy who moved three points clear of this weeks opponents Kebab Shop Boys whom they beat 4-2.
