Wednesday 23rd March - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week with all 24 teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent football played across all three divisions.

Priestlane remain top of the Premier Division and three points clear as they edged past The Rifes by a 2-1 scoreline, but El Nino in second place stay on their tails as they were 2-0 winners against The Charvas.  The gap from the top two extended though as third place Sporting a Beergut were beaten by an improving Pershite who won 3-2 for the second week in a row.  Elsewhere Brap FC moved off the foot of the table with an emphatic 6-2 win over Marshelona, a surprise result in terms of the league standings!

Wednesday Social were held to a 3-3 draw by third placed Cheese Gromit FC, a result which allowed Expecting Toulouse move into second place with an emphatic 5-1 win over Make 6 a side Great Again.  Elsewhere, Get Your Klopp Out leapfrogged Lads on Toure in the table this week after beating them by 4 goals to 2.  Finally, We Never Win went against their name as they won their second game in succession, with a hard fought 2-1 win over Bishy FC.

Coral FC continue their superb form at the top of Division Two as they were emphatic 7-1 winners over lowly Sixual Deviants.  Paris Ganjaman keep up their title challenge as they remain two points off the leaders as they were 4-0 winners over Largentina.  2 Girls 1 Schlupp moved up to third place after a 9-2 hammering of Gotta Die for 3 Pints, moving above Warriors Staff who were held to a 2-2 draw by Cheeky Naldos.

We wish all of our teams the best of luck going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football.
