Wednesday 4th May - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league at Sixways to start the new season.  We were however disappointed to see non-attendances from Baines on Toast, The Rifes and Unathletico, none of which made contact with us to inform us they could not play.  All will be spoken to regarding their return on Wednesday 11th May.

Sporting a Beergut got off to a good start this week as they were 6-2 winners against newly promoted Cheese Gromit FC, whilst FC Marshelona ran out winners by the same scoreline in their match against Pershite.  In the battle of last seasons top two who met on opening day, it was last season's Runners-Up who ran out victorious, as El Nino were 4-3 winners against Priestlane Wanderers in a superb encounter!

In Division One, Expecting Toulouse got off to a flyer as they beat newly promoted Paris Ganjaman by 6 goals to 2 in an impressive performance.  The Charvas also won their opening game against another promoted team, beating last seasons Division Two champions Coral FC 3-2 in an entertaining game, whilst Get Your Klopp Out were 2-1 winners against Lads on Toure in a tight clash.

Small Pond came up from Division Three and settled in well to life in Division Two as they brushed aside Cheeky Naldos by a 4 goals without reply, as Dixie Normous, also up from Division Three also got a solid first result by beating Make 6 a side Great Again 3-0.  Warriors Staff capped off the action in the division with a hard fought 2-1 win against Largentina.

There were goals aplenty in Division Four as Murder on Zidane's Floor won an 11 goal thriller against I Predict a Diet by 7 goals to 4!  Chicken Ball FC also won a thriller against Vlads Lads as they ran out 6-3 winners in an end to end encounter, whilst Sixual Deviants and Gotta Die For 3 Pints was a lot tighter a game, the Deviants securing a 1-0 win to cap off the weeks action.
