Wednesday 7th August - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception to this being Monner who failed to attend without notification, and have subsequently been removed from the league.

On a positive note, we welcome new team Sporting a Beergut to the league on Wednesday 14th August, who we wish good luck going into their first game in Division Three.

In the Premier League, top-notch game play was on display as Coral FC overcame Zoumas Cats 4-2 in a thrilling encounter. Wednesday Social and Expecting Toulouse both edged their respective opponents 2-1, demonstrating fine form at the start of the season. Meanwhile, Lucozade Sports won a narrow victory over Nunnery Wood Veterans, ending the game 3-2.

Division 1 saw Dream Team steal the spotlight with an impressive 4-0 victory over UP THE ALMA. Paris Ganja Man scraped past Enter Team Name FC 2-1, and Notinyamoms Forest emerged victorious with a convincing 3-0 triumph over Claines FC. Mia KhaFifa also started on a high note, decimating Murder On Zidanes Floor 5-0.

In Division 2, Unathlectico Madrid narrowly defeated Bert United 2-1, while AFC Young Boys took down Tolly Bashers 4-2 in an action-filled match.

Division 3 witnessed Bley You Off The Park dominating Tupsley FCC 5-2, and Bench Warmers FC edged Severn Wasters 2-1. Chewbacca The Net also made a strong start, scoring five goals against Moist Cabbage, who managed just one.
