Wednesday 9th April - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed matches played.  The only exception was a cancellation from Bruiseya Jawmund, who return as normal next week.

We are pleased to confirm the addition of Knots County FC to the Wednesday league from Wednesday 16th April, they move over from the Tuesday league.

In the Premier League, Dream Team came out on top against AFC Young Boys with a 3-0 win. Coral FC also had a fantastic night, netting three goals against Expecting Toulouse, showcasing their attacking prowess in the process. Stroke Titty maintained their clean sheet with a 2-0 victory over Jeet Army. However, the most engaging match was between Pickle Pinchers and Lucozade Sports, where Lucozade triumphed with a 4-1 win.

Division 1 saw some thrilling matches as well. Bert United beat Mia KhaFifa 5-2, while Wednesday Social eked out a narrow 1-0 victory against Nutty Marauders. Sporting Abeergut and UP THE ALMA shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.

In Division 2, Enter Team Name FC beat AFC White Hart 5-3, and Unathlectico Madrid lost to Tupsley FCC 6-3 in an exciting nine-goal thriller.

Division 3 saw some high-scoring encounters, with Bench Warmers FC defeating Claines FC 4-1. Cry Me A River Plate edged past Cathedral Cheese AFC 2-0, while The Ninja Skrtels thumped Exeter Gently 5-1. The highlight of the night was the match between Platform South and MOIST CABBAGE, which ended in a high-scoring 5-5 stalemate.
