Wednesday 9th March - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week which saw all 24 teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled once again!

El Nino missed the chance to go top of the Premier Division this week as they were held to a 2-2 draw by FC Marshelona, keeping Priestlane Wanderers top by a single point after they suffered a surprise 3-2 reverse at the hands of The Charvas!  Sporting a Beergut took advantage of the top two results as they secured a 3-1 victory against Brap FC to move within two points of the league leaders, whilst The Rifes moved away from the drop zone and into fifth place after they won 2-1 against Pershite who dropped to the foot of the table.

Wednesday Social's lead at the top of Division One extended to four points this week as they were 4-0 winners against Get Your Klopp Out, and Expecting Toulouse lost 3-2 against Bishy, dropping to third place.  Cheese Gromit are back in the top two this week after a 5-3 win over We Never Win in an end to end game.  It seems to rain goals when Make 6 a side Great Again play, as they appear to be living up to their name, after a 9-8 win last week they drew 5-5 with Lads on Toure, there has now been 46 goals in their 8 games so far this season.

The Division Two table remains unchanged this week as results went largely with the form book.  Coral FC won the top v bottom clash with no issues after a 3-0 victory against Gotta Die For 3 Pints.  Second placed Paris Ganja Man were 6-2 winners against Sixual Deviants who remain second bottom, and wins for Warriors Staff (5-2 v Largentina) and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp (3-1 v Cheeky Naldos) see the third and fourth placed teams remain in the chasing pack for promotion.
